Paint both sides of the shoulder pad and let it dry overnight.
Layer feathers on top of the shoulder pads and glue down with a hot glue gun. *Start with larger feathers first*
*Smaller peacock feathers used*
Added to black feathers to the edges to fill in (ran out of peacock feathers) *Picture note shown.
Fill the bottom portion in with gemstones
Finished shoulder pads.
Secure pads to shirt with safety pins. *Could also use velcro or snaps if you wanted to sew them on to the shirt AND on to the pads. *May end up doing this because safety pins are a pain to put on and take off.
Finished project!
This is how I wore it. Don't make the outfit to fussy. Let the shirt do the talking. Pair it with leggings, boyfriend shorts or jeans and simple wedges or flats.
