I saw these giant paperclips a while back and just had to have them. I had no idea what do with them and the other day it just hit me: Embellish Them!! Update June 2014: Spotted packs of Giant Paperclips at Target see pic above :)

Gather the supplies: I found the color giant paper clips at walmart. The silver is from an office supply store. I used paper die cuts cut out with a sizzix machine and the felt flowers were premade- I found them at Michael's.
This is a size comparison Giant Paper Clips; Jumbo Office Paper Clips; and Standard Paper Clips.
I went ahead and glued the layers of the die cuts together and let them dry. I also cut out the backs that I will use to attach the die cuts to the paper clips.
Make sure to glue to the top part of the paper clip- not the part the clips onto the paper. The back for this one is a 2 inch circle I paper punched.
Position the paper clip and die cut how you want them. Apply glue to the circle.
Sandwich the paper clip between the die cut and the circle and firmly press to form around the paper clip.
Let dry.
For the butterfly I chose to use a flower for the back since it will be seen from the front too.
I applied the glue to the middle of the butterfly to prevent too much glue from being seen on the front.
Sandwich the paper clip and add more glue around the edges of the flower as needed.
Make sure the flower is attached well and leave to dry.
For this one I decided to go with a duplicate of the base of the flower to attach it. Add glue.
Sandwich and let dry.
For the premade felt flower I chose to put it on a Jumbo Office Paper Clip. (There was a double sided sticky foam square on the back of it- I just left it on.) I cut out a piece of matching felt for the back. Apply glue (maybe more than usual as felt soaks up some of it).
Sandwich and add even more glue if you need to. Then let it dry!
These are ready to go!
