The Embellished Chaos Earring design adds color and visual weight to the Chaos Earrings by incorporating several 2mm beads onto the 22-gauge wire halfway through wrapping the 8-inches of wire.
Begin the embellished Chaos earring the same as the Simple Chaos Earring design, wrapping the 22-gauge wire around the 19-gauge headpin. Pause halfway through the wire wrapping and add five 2mm beads (one red and four black, or vice versa) onto the 22-gauge wire.
Continue wrapping the 22-gauge wire, placing the 2mm beads into spaces within the previous wire wrapping. Try to place the beads all around the wire wrapping.
With the remaining 22-gauge wire, fill in the gaps between the 2mm beads. Finish the end of the 22-gauge wire tightly against the 19-gauge headpin. Repeat steps 1-3 for the second earring.
As with any wire-wrapping project. If you don't like your results, you can always unravel the wire wrapping to recycle the beads and headpin.
Notice that the 22-gauge wire wrapping will be bent and stiff due to the wire's memory of every bend; save this ball of wire and recycle.
