Sew bird's tail and wings Cut cloths into shapes as the picture shows with seam allowance. They are a top, a belly, two sides, two tails and four wings respectively from left to right. Note that we need to shear an opening on two of them which place at the bottom. Place right sides of tails and wings face to face, sew a tail and two wings by straight stitch. Overlap their sides of outside fabric on cotton lining and sew them with the cotton lining. Cut out extra cotton linings according to the stitches. Trim the seam allowance into teeth shape.
Sew body of bird Turn the tail and wings inside out, sew some decorative stitches on them. The body of bird is made of one top, two sides and a belly. Pay attention to the position of the top and two sides should be like the following second picture. Take one side fabric and sew it with one side of the top fabric aligning the positions by back stitch.
Sew the other side Pin the remaining side fabric with the other side of the top fabric and remember to fold seam allowance of the previous side fabric inside a little.
Stuff the bird Continue the above step to sew the fabric in same way. Sew the belly and the body with an open side. Trim the seam allowance in shape of teeth when you finish. Turn the bird inside out from the opening and stuff the bird.
Cut out a diamond-shaped felt. Fold it in half and sew it on the bird as mouth. Sew two beads on as bird's eyes. Add two buttons on wings and sew wings on two sides of the bird. Insert the tail into the bird through the opening mentioned above and sew them by hidden stitch.
