Let's face it. Prom dresses are EXPENSIVE. And you are most likely only going to wear the dress once. I made this dress for my little sister. It's is very simple but looks absolutely stunning AND I think I only spent about $35 total. The prom's theme was Arabian Nights so I went with a greenish blue chiffon over a metallic gold knit. I used this tutorial (http://apairandasparediy.com/2011/04/diy-side-split-wrapped-bodice-dress-the-tutorial.html) and modified just a bit. The pattern is essentially just two rectangles. Easy peasy. :) P.s. Here's the link to the skirt tutorial.
