Description

This tutorial is very easy, even if you have zero experience with a sewing machine, you can make this cute peter pan collar!

Instructions

  1. Small img 0019

This is all you need; a sewing machine, needle and thread, 2 shirts, a pair of normal and fabric scissors, some pins, paper and a pencil.

  2. Small img 0021

First, draw a collar on some paper. It's very important the collar of the original shirts fits the collar your are going to make.

  3. Small img 0024

Make sure you cut out the collar with a centimeter extra, for the seaming. Now pin the paper to the fabric, line it with a pen. Make sure you now have two 'collars.

Now 'zigzag' (I don't know what it's called in English!) the fabric borders seperately. Pin the two 'collars' together. Cut the 1 centimeter seaming off the patern and line the sewing lines with a pencil.

Now sew the two pieces together with the sewing machine. Make sure to leave a small part open, so you can flip it inside out later. Then iron the almost done collar. Then pin the collar to the originial collar of the shirt and sew it to the shirt. That's it! :)
