This is a beanie/slouch hat I made for a friend, so I decided I better upload the pattern! I am very happy with how it turned out. There is no gauge, because I didn't think it really needed one, but just let me know if there's a problem with the pattern! I made it simple, so you can adjust the pattern however you want. Don't just sit there! Go nuts! :D

This isn't a step, but these are my abbreviations. ABBREVIATIONS: Dc= double crochet Sc= single crochet Sl st= slip stitch BPdc= back-post double crochet FPdc= front-post double crochet Dc2tog= double crochet 2 stitches together (one decrease) Because the hat is striped, each row will say "color A" or "color B" at the beginning specifying which color I used. For my hat, color "A" is green, and color "B" is black.
SLOUCHY HAT: Row 1 (color A): Ch 3, dc 6 in 2nd ch from hook. Sl st, ch 2. Row 2 (color A): 2 dc in each st around, sl st, ch 2. Row 3 (color B): repeat row 2. Row 4 (color A): *2 dc in 1st st, dc in next st. rep from * until end of row. Sl st, ch 2. Row 5 (color B): dc in each st around, sl st, ch 2. Row 6 (color A): *2 dc in 1st st, dc in next st. rep from * until end of row. Sl st, ch 2. Rows 7-13: dc in each st around. Sl st, ch 2, alternating colors “A” and “B” each row. Row 14 (color A): *dc in next 5 sts, dc2tog. rep from* until end of row. Sl st, ch 1. Row 15 (color B): sc in each st around. Rows 16-18 (color B): *BPdc in 1st st, FPdc in next st. rep from * until end of row. Fasten off, turn out to RS.
Make a pom-pom and sew onto the top of the hat, if desired.
