number 6 plastic also works, you can find it in a lot of packaging materials, like the lids from pie crusts

you can get shrinky dinks online (http://www.goestores.com/home.aspx?Merchant=shrinkydinks) or get them at craft stores like Michaels or (I assume as I don't live in the States) Joannes. There are other offbrand ones but I've never tried them. I'm sure they work them same though.
