You will need a muslin cloth to cook this dumpling in.

You Will Need (12 things)
- 4 oz Suet
- 8 oz Plain Flour
- 4 oz Oatmeal
- 4 oz Sultanas
- 4 oz Currants
- 1 tbsp Syrup
- 3 oz Sugar
- 2 Eggs
- 1 tsp Ginger
- 1 tsp Baking Powder
- 1 tsp Cinnamon
- 4 tbsp Milk
Steps (10 steps, 225 minutes)

Rub the suet into the flour.

Add the oatmeal, sultanas, currants, sugar, ginger, baking powder & cinnamon.

Make a well in the centre.
Pour in the eggs & syrup.
Stir through

Add the milk a little at a time to make a stiff dough.

Pour boiling water over the cloth.
Leave to cool enough to touch.
Ring out & cover with flour.

Pour the dough into the centre.
Tie up the cloth but leave room to expand.

Place in a pot with an upturned saucer in.
Cover with boiling water.
Place lid on pot & simmer for 3 hrs.
Check water level occasionally.

Remove the dumpling from the cloth & sprinkle with sugar
Heat oven 100 degrees.

Place the dumpling in the oven for 30 mins until a shiny skin forms.

Cut & serve.
