If I decide not to sell these, I will totally create a how to for them. For now, I'll just explain the basics. I molded paper mache clay to a egg shaped base and over dried it. When dry, I paper mached both the inside and outside of the egg to give me a base to work with. I then added another layer of paper mache to the outside of the egg pieces and textured it. I painted them with acrylic paint. I then stuffed my eggs with goodies and used painter's tape to seal it and painted the tape to match the eggs. I want to make these so I do not have to use paper tape to hold them closed as pictured above. I want to paint and seal my items inside and then mache the outside omepeltey shut and texture and paint it. I want these to be like pinatas one must break to get the prizes out. I did not try that with these eggs because I did not know how the items inside would hold up to moisture and I did not have enough time to experiment. I am currently working on the closed version and will post the results of that process once it is complete.
