Doughnuts are the best! Making these doughnut earrings out of polymer clay is easier than it looks!
The materials you need are three different colours of polymer clay. You need a pencil or paintbrush (we're going to use the back or it), a blade or a knife, two eye pins and two earring hooks.
Start by rolling out the colour you've chosen for the actual doughnut (beige in this case) into two small round balls.
Flatten your two balls to two discs.
Use the back side of your paintbrush and make a hole in the middle of the discs.
It should look something like this.
Now take the polymer clay you intend to use as the frosting (pink) and roll it into two balls.
Flatten out the pink polymer clay.
The pink polymer clay should be made really thin.
Place the thinned out pink clay over your doughnut and fix the edges so it lies down on the doughnut.
Use your paintbrush again and make a hole also in the frosting.
Do the same thing with the other doughnut.
Roll out the third colour (white) of polymer clay into a really really thin snake or cylinder. This will become your sprinkles.
Cut out short pieces of the white clay.
And place the short pieces of the white clay, the sprinkles, on the frosting of the doughnut.
Cut your eye pins so that they are an appropriate length, and place them into the doughnuts at an angle.
After you've placed the eye pins in the doughnuts, bake the polymer clay doughnuts according to the polymer clay packaging. This differs between different brands of polymer clay, so make sure to read on the packaging.
Add the earring hooks to the eye of the eye pins, and your earrings are ready to be worn.
