A small blanket for your baby to explore. The small ribbons allow the baby to experience different colours and textures. They also work great if the baby is teething, he can chew on them all day long!

Cut two pieces of fabric 25cm x 25cm (9.8" x 9.8"). Place them right sides together (RST).
Cut the ribbons in different sizes from 2cm (0.8") to 4cm (1.6"). For this tutorial, each side of the square will have 5 ribbons, which makes 20 ribbons in total.
Fold your ribbons in half, wrong sides together (WST) and place them between the two pieces of fabric. The fabrics are still RST. Sew all around the square, leaving a small gap, between two of the ribbons, to turn right side out (RSO). As an option, you can backstitch each ribbon, to strengthen the seam, so it won't rip when pulling.
Turn RSO and press well.
Close the gap by hand stitching or by edge stitching all around. And you are done!
