Create a cool double exposure photograph in Photoshop. This technique works best with portrait against a light or white background or a backlit scene where the background is blown out.
Create a cool double exposure photograph in Photoshop. This technique works best with portrait against a light or white background or a backlit scene where the background is blown out.
Open both images in photoshop. The portrait should be on top of the other photo in the layers palette.
With the top layer selected, choose 'lighten' or 'screen' from the dropdown menu shown in the screenshot.
Resize and position your images where you think they look best. Crop the images.
Play with the opacity of each layer to achieve the desired result. I liked how this photo looked with both layers at 100% opacity.
Done! Have fun with it! Play around with different effects on each layer. I really like the way this photo looks with the portrait in black and white, and the forest in color.
