(im usuing yarn as a visual :3)Take a section of hair and wrap one part around anything.i use my toe and then i back come the part of hair that i have. With the SE dreads you would just put the two picec together and then back comb the whole thing.
this is how u wrap it when you are doing SE dreads. you can use anything u want that will hold it in place. i like using my feet.
back comb the hair. for SE dreads you just back comb the whole thing. for DE dreads you do one section..then take the hair and wrap it around again but this time more of the fluffy back combed part will be wraped around your foot. you should have a good amount of it haning off and then the normal straight hair that your going to back comb. *none of the hair stays "normal" back comb it all!!
You can eaither do the boiling method, steaming, or flat iorn to seal it. I like using the flat iron better. plus mine gose fromwet to dry so it steams it as well:3 you will twist the hair either to the right or left, doent matter and then you will want to use a washcloth to cover the hair and then with a waterbottle spray it till its quite wet. then use the flat iron. for the steamer i guess you can do without the washcloth. i dont use one so idk. I have boiled the hair but that was to curl it. im not to big on boiling it. if you wanna know more then just ase me :3
my curly ones :3
this is what you should have when your done sealing them
