Double Embossing Technique

About
Embossing is the easy way to create texture on our paper crafts but double embossing is the cherry on top! Today I want to share a card using this fabulous technique. It is simple and fun and you only need a background stamp and two different colors of embossing powder plus the essential material to make the regular embossing.

You Will Need (7 things)
- Versamark Ink
- Embossing Powder: Candy Green and White
- On Point Glue
- Craft Mat
- Card Stock Whisper White and Basic Black
- Large Floral Background by Hero Arts.
- Believe Die Cut by Little Yellow Bicycle.
Steps (7 steps, 120 minutes)
-
1
Take a piece of glossy card stock and rub with the embossing buddy to avoid the static of the paper. Ink the glossy paper using Versamark Ink. Press the ink pad directly over the card stock to cover the whole surface.
-
2
Cover the whole inked surface with Candy Green Embossing Powder and melt the powder with the heat tool. Sometimes you may need a second layer of embossing to have a uniform and complete covering. If this is necessary, just repeat the steps 1 and 2.

3
Take the background stamp and ink it well with Versamark Ink.
-
4
Stamp the inked background over the embossed piece with Candy Green Embossing Powder. Since the background stamp is bigger than the paper, I preferred to stamp in opposite way and press the paper with my hands over the stamps.
-
5
Cover the stamped image with White Embossing Powder, remove the excess and melt with the heat tool. Tadaaa, the background is complete!

6
Cut several (4 or 5) believe words in Whisper White card stock to create a bold word and paste over the background. For this you can use the On Point Glue that is perfect to paste the fine details of the letter.

Create the base and layer for your card and prepare these to assemble all the pieces using Tear it! Tape. To paste the bold word I recommend you use the On Point Glue.
