The paint featured in this DIY is Lumiere by Jacquard. I was given this paint by CutOut + Keep to review and to use in a project. Now before we get into the DIY, let me tell you a little bit about Lumiere paint. Lumiere by Jacquard is a light-bodied acrylic paint designed to be used on many different surfaces. According to the maker's website, the paint can be used on fabric, wood, canvas, and uneven textures like Styrofoam. The paint comes in a variety of colors which are either metallic or pearlescent. The coverage of the paint would be consider ''full'' and the pigmentation of the actual paint color would be consider high. When using the paint, it's supposed to brush on smoothly and dry with some flexibility (if being used on fabric). When finding out all this information, I thought the best way to test the paint would be to us it in a fabric based project. I decided that for this project, I was going to decorate a canvas bag using the paints. I ended up choosing three Lumiere paint colors to represent the donut pattern I was going to create. The three colors I chose were Metallic Bronze, Pearlescent Magenta, and Pearlescent Turquoise. After creating the bag and using the paints, I was very happy with the final results. I felt that the paint lived up to its description and did what it was supposed to do. The colors I picked were highly pigmented, the coverage of the paint was ''heavy'' (not thin) and the paint itself brushed on smoothly. Unlike certain paints, I thought that the Lumiere by Jacquard work great with fabric and dried with some flexibility. I also thought that the pearlescent worked great with the metallic paint and that they mixed / dried well together. All in all, I was very happy with how this project turned out and would consider buying some Lumiere paints in the future.

Draw several medium size circles onto your canvas bag with your pencil. Then draw a smaller circle in the middle of each of those medium size circles. If you didn't want to draw by hand you could always trace around a round object. For this project, I used a round cookie cutter to trace around.
Put cardboard inside your canvas bag and begin paining each circle with your brown paint. When you done painting, set your bag aside to dry.
When your bag is dry, you are ready to paint the donut frosting. Using your two other colors begin painting each brown circle with a little bit of your paint. You don't want to paint the entire circle but just enough to make it look like frosting. When you done painting, set your bag aside to dry.
With a fabric pen or black fabric paint, trace around each of your donuts and frosting. This step is completely optional but I think it makes the donuts looks more like a ''print'', then just being hand-painted.
Using your E6000 begin gluing on your seed beads to each of your painted donuts. If your worried about using the glue with the beads, you could always sew on your seed beads instead. When your done gluing, set your bag aside to dry.
Take your scissors and cut enough trim that will line the top of your bag. Then glue down your trim with your fabric glue.
