I learned how to do this recently from the internet. Teehee, :)

You'll need five dollars. Actually, mathematically, any currency will do. I place mine all facing the same way so that the star has matching points.
Fold first dollar in half hot dog style. :)
Unfold.
Now, fold the bottom half up toward the center crease.
Unfold. Now you have two creases as your guidelines.
Fold the top corner of the dollars using the creases as guidelines to where the dollar should fold to.
Fold the other side of the dollar like you're folding an airplane. Remember, it's great to be precise as possible. :D
Well. I guess use this picture as a guide, and fold the point over to the point of the other side of the dollar. o_o;
Unfold the flap to the left.
And flip over. :)
Fold into a point again. Using the crease in the center of the dollar as a guide.
Promise we're not making an airplane. :) But fold down the sides to the center again.
Make sure the point at the end is super precise!
Flip over.
Fold the dollar under the flap in half. o_o;
Make sure you can't go any further. <--Should look like this. ;-___-
Fold in half again under the flap.
Once more in half. :)
Make five. ;__;
Yay. Now we can connect. :D Slip the first star segment's flap in the pocket of the other star segment's flap underside. Wow. That is confusing to read.
Flip over and...well. <--I guess a picture is worth a thousand words. So there you go. ;-__-
Woot. Hopefully, you got this far. ;__; So, you can repeat again and again.
One more. This one is kind of complicating, but just squish the star down on a hard surface to easily push the flaps in the pockets.
Woot. Another way you can leave a tip!
