Collars are optional with this trendsetting slip-on lead. No fussy buckles or clips, gently slip it over the head and position it high on the neck for a comfortable and controlled stroll. Personalize it with a bit of ribbon and you're ready for a walk on the wild side!

Pin decorative ribbon along center of webbing and edge stitch it into place along either edge.
To make handle, fold one end over by 6 in with ribbon side out, and tuck a 1 inch section back under this fold. Stitch through all 3 layers at the fold and through two layers just above the folded-under edge, to enclose cut edge. Reinforce seams with an “X” if desired.
With ribbon side facing out, slip the other end of webbing through D-Ring. Fold over 2 in and topstitch a seam next to D-Ring. Fold remaining raw edge back under and stitch through 3 layers enclosing rough edges. Reinforce seams if desired.
The collar is already built in with this type of trainer style dog lead: pull a length of leash through D-Ring to create a loop then slip over your dog’s head. If you prefer a more traditional leash, substitute a snap hook for the D-ring. These are usually available at your local hardware store.
