Here is a quick run through of how I made this front button closure, half circle, tartan, maxi skirt. It is an incredible easy project for a novice sewer and depending on what fabric you use, a completely different styles can be achieved!
Here is a quick run through of how I made this front button closure, half circle, tartan, maxi skirt. It is an incredible easy project for a novice sewer and depending on what fabric you use, a completely different styles can be achieved!
Fold fabric in half. Mark out how where the waist is and how long you want to skirt to be. Cut
Once cut, you should have one opening to the skirt.
Measure out your waist band and cut it out.
Hem the short edges of the waist band..
Pin and sew the waist band to the main skirt body.
Fold and press the raw side of the waistband.
Fold the waistband in half long ways and sew.
Mark where you want to place button holes along the opening of the skirt.
Make button holes and sew buttons in place.
