Tools and materials:
Super glue and toothpick for applying the glue
2 small skull beads (I used this pair of pewter finish 7mm beads. Tip-- Look for beads with a small hole on the top. You don't want a gaping hole in your skull)
2 small rhinestone navettes in setting roughly the same size/width of your beads (I used these 10mm by 5mm sew-ons. Navette is the same shape as marquis cut, but a term usually for gems other than diamond.)
2 small earring posts with 4mm cup (the cup shape fits better to the bead than a flat back) and earring backs -

It's really as simple as 1, 2, 3. Add a drop of glue to the jaw of the skull bead and press the top of the navette into the glue. Let dry, the glue on the earring post. Repeat for the second earring and make sure they dry thoroughly before wearing.
