I need shoulder pads for my blazer. I found this video tutorial on another site, tried to do it and came out great. So, I am sharing this DIY tutorial in this site. My own version of shoulder pads.
We will use a fleece fabric. You can also use any thick but soft fabric for your project.
Cut our 6 pcs of 7x7 inches fabric.
Cut the square fabric into halves.
Put 6pcs of fabric on top of each other leaving at least 0.5cm allowance from each other as illustrated. Do this also on the other 6pcs half.
Cut out the pads as to your desired shoulder length.
Make basting stitch to make sure the pieces stays on place.
Get the extra fabric for our pads' cover. Cut out in a way that the pads are secured inside the cover.
At this stage, your project should look like this.
You can leave the triangular shape or you can make it round edges, depending on your preference.
On your sewing machine, run the pads using the zigzag stitch or any edging stitch you prefer. Viola! Your own shoulder pads!
