Description

Whoever you invite to your lunch or dinner party, or just simply for tea, they would love to see personalized illustrated version of themselves on a place card. And here’s how I do it.

Instructions

  1. Small diy handdrawn place card supplies

What You Need: Cutting Mat or a cardboard to cut on A few pieces of Cartridge Paper or any card stock 150 gsm and above Pen or Marker to draw with Scissors Paper Cutters Ruler

  2. Small diy handdrawn placecard step1

Fold the paper into two, and cut them to the size that you want. I used A5 sized cartridge paper, so I could only make 1 place card from each piece. An A4 sized paper or card stock will make 2 or more.

  3. Small diy handdrawn placecard step2

Draw the character on the top part of the fold, and the name and menu (optional) on the bottom part of the fold.

  4. Small diy handdrawn placecard step3

Cut the characters’ outlines using sharp paper cutter and fold them forward. Fold the card and make them stand up like this on the plates. Easy, right?
