First we’re going to set up a double boiler with around an inch of boiling water in a small to medium-sized pot. Dump your ingredients into a large metal or glass mixing bowl and set over the boiling water to gently melt the ingredients together. Whisk until completely melted and remove from heat.
Let your ingredients cool down for about 5 minutes, then add in your essential oil. I used around 60 drops of the peppermint oil to get a good, strong peppermint scent.
Pour the balm into your container and allow to set, or you can also place it in the fridge or freezer to speed this process along.
Once congealed, keep your balm at room temperature to keep it creamy and spreadable.
For the tags: Just cut them out, fold in half, punch a hole through the corner, thread a pretty ribbon through, and tie to the neck of your container. The directions for use are on the back and there is space inside for a personal note.
