Rice heating pads are easy and cost pennies to make. They're cordless and flexible for use on any part of the body. You can use a sock, a pillow case, or make your own pouch as I demonstrate below. All you need is fabric and rice. Sew a pillow case like pouch and fill with rice. Close it up using a slipstitch. Make another pouch as a cover and enjoy your heading pad!

You'll need long grain rice, essential oil of your choice, and muslin/fabric. Mix a few drops of oil into the rice.
Sew two pieces of fabric together around 3 sides. Turn it inside out to make a pouch.
Fill it with rice and slipstitch the open end closed.
Now make a cover. Fold down and sew the raw ends on the short sides.
Fold over a few inches on one of the the short sides.
Bring right sides together and sew at sides and bottom. Leave top side open. (The edges you folded earlier.)
Turn right side out and it'll look like this.
Finish turning it right side out and you'll have a pillow-case type pouch like this!
Slip your rice pillow in and you're ready for use. Microwave 30 seconds at a time for about 1.5 minutes. Be careful, it gets hot!
