I got sick of toting around my camera on my plain old canon strap so I dug out some leftover leather I had laying around and a old studded belt to get the studs off of and got sewing!
To cut out my leather pattern I just laid the camera strap onto the leather leaving a quarter of an inch on either side of the strap, marked it with a pen, and then cut it out. Do this one more time so you have two pieces.
I got these studs off of an old belt and just put them in a straight line with an inch between each one.
I thought about just gluing them to the leather but then I was afraid they would intermittently pop off at random times.
I did have a little bit of trouble keeping them in a straight line but I was just like eh, people will just think "Well... I suppose thats artistic."
Then I just sand-whiched the camera strap between the two strips of leather and sewed it securely.
Voila! The finished project.
