I'm always broke and very very cheap. Also, my closest craft store is a 20-minute drive away...and I can't drive at all.
So, when I got into jewelry-making and needed jump rings, I forced myself to be creative.
*If you don't have straight pins, any sort of thick-ish wire will work.
**If you don't have round nose pliers, you can use needle nose pliers and something skinny and round, such as a skewer.

You Will Need (3 things)
- Straight Pins
- Round Nose Pliers
- Wire Cutters
Steps (5 steps, 10 minutes)
-
1
Use your wire cutters to cut the head off of the straight pin.
You can cut off the needle-point too, if you want. -
2
Use your round nose pliers to bend the wire bit into a circle.
If you don't have round nose pliers, you can use needle nose pliers (or physical strength) to bend the wire around something skinny and round (such as a skewer)
-
3
You should have a wire circle with one or two non-bend ends.
-
4
Use your wire cutters and cut off the non-bent ends.
