Description

These floral cupcakes make very cute table decorations for a tea party or a small gift for a friend

Instructions

  1. Small 2014 04 16 122810 cupcake2 150x150

Cut off the bottom half of the plastic cup (about an inch high.) Soak a small bit of Oasis and when it’s wet, cut it into a shape the same size but a tiny bit taller than the plastic cup bottom and fit inside. Chamfer (smooth) the edges. Using a bit of tape, secure the bottom of the plastic cup, to the bottom of a muffin case.

  2. Small 2014 04 16 122815 cupcake3 150x150

With the other muffin case, create a template by cutting down one side and cutting out the bottom so you are left with a curved strip (see pic.) Trace around it on your scrapbook paper to create the muffin case template.

  3. Small 2014 04 16 122821 cupcake4 150x150

Cut out the template using scalloped scissors (optional) and secure a small strip of double sided tape on one edge. Fit the strip around the muffin case attached to the oasis and secure.

  4. Small 2014 04 16 122826 cupcake5 150x150

Now you can start filling the oasis with foliage and flowers. Start by adding foliage all around the edge and use the tallest bits in the centre and the shortest bits towards the edge. Then fill with flowers, also keeping the stems longer towards the centre.

When you are happy with the flowers, you are done! Top the Oasis up with a little water everyday to keep the flowers fresh for up to a week.
