I made this last year for Dublin Comic Con. It was my first cosplay so I decided to do something simple. I found the green shift dress online for a cheap price after a lot of hunting so I suggest either making one out of some stretchy green/blue fabric or taking the lazy way out like I did. If you do decide to hunt for one, take a month or two for preparation because you might end up having to make one after all.

Description

I made this last year for Dublin Comic Con. It was my first cosplay so I decided to do something simple. I found the green shift dress online for a cheap price after a lot of hunting so I suggest either making one out of some stretchy green/blue fabric or taking the lazy way out like I did. If you do decide to hunt for one, take a month or two for preparation because you might end up having to make one after all.

Instructions

  1. Draw out the needed shapes on paper, and fit them to the size of your dress. A cross for the yellow, a big circle for the red, two medium sized circles, one in dark green and one in dark blue, a triangle for the blue and 2 sort of thin rectangle with two curved ends for the dark blue again. Cut them out and pin them to the according colours. Cut around the templates. Leave the sky blue sheet as it is.

Draw out the letters 'BMO' so they fit the side of your dress, along with 9 mini circles, 2 for the eyes and 7 for the vent, a U shape for the smile and a bigger version of the thin rectangle shape. Cut them out and pin them onto the black felt. Cut around the templates.

  3. Small 101282 2f2014 04 27 180420 image

Lay out your shapes on the dress to find exactly where you want them. It's okay if you need to move them around a bit to get them all in.

  4. Use fabric glue or Wonda Web to stick your shapes to your dress. Leave for 30 minutes or more to dry. When dry, do the same with your remaining shapes on the left side of your dress.

And you're done! Top off with a blue wig and some cute adventure time accessories. Don't forget to work on that adorable Beemo accent. Thanks for looking! <3
