You Will Need (4 things)

  • Styrofoam
  • Covering Material I used wallpaper
  • Glue Gun
  • LED lights

Steps (4 steps, 180 minutes)

  1. 1

I had recently purchased a new TV and the installation guys had left behind it's packaging (styrofoam) which I had been procrastinating to throw out. I also had a small roll of leftover wallpaper from my previous apartment and I decided to put the two together!

Now I did this project two times because the first time I wasn't sure my husband would like it so I did a very shoddy job of it, incase he rejected it. Here's where I don't have all the right pictures so read the instructions carefully! My plan was to chop off a piece of the styrofoam (left) and cover it with the leftover box packaging (right). I wanted to do a uniform shape all over basically. And then I covered it with the wallpaper. The husband loved it and so we decided to do it properly a second time. But this time he decided to not wrap the styrofoam in the box packaging but work with its original ridges as you can see in the pictire. So he cut out a piece of styrofoam (no pictures but like I had done above) and meticulously wrapped each and every bit of the shape with the wallpaper. It was time consuming but the glue gun made everything easy!

We also picked up small LED lights from and installed them like I have nicely explained in the picture.

Then we placed the stand in an IKEA display cabinet we already had. We removed the glass shelf in the middle of the cabinet and just let Batman have the whole space. Done!
