I used the tutorial for transfering photos with gel medium by A Beautiful Mess. It is spot on. The only problem is I noticed that at the end there was a slight "film" on the photo even after removing the top layer of photo.
Use a wood furniture cleaner that is oily in tecture and that removes the film perfectly! Here is the end product of doing a gel medium photo transfer!
I also painted a couple photos with chalkboard spray paint! I then drew some pictures onto the canvas with a chalkboard paint pen!
I am obsessed with black and white stripes so I used Frog Tape to section of a canvas to prepare it for paint.
I then spray painted the canvas with black paint (I used the chalkboard paint because I already had it.) I also spray painted the "T" with Krylon Champagne spray paint. I glued it onto the canvas with Loctite glue.
I also used the gel medium technique to take this octopus photo that I printed at Staples to apply it to the canvas.
I then lined them up to create the perfect gallery wall! For more info on this project please head on over to my blog! :)
