I wanted to make some wire wrapped beads and ended up making a pair of bling earrings, using rhinestones, beads and wire. You will also need some chain with small links, some wire and head pins for the additional dangles, ear-wires and jewelry making tools. I am not going into details of the basic techniques. Here is the project:

You will also need some chain with small links, some wire and head pins for the additional dangles, ear-wires and jewelry making tools. I am not going into details of the basic techniques. Here is the project:
Make two equal eye pins with an eye on each end.
Slide one side of the chain onto the eye pin.
Wrap the chain around the eye pin.
Slide the other side of the chain into the other eye.
The chain will be a little wriggly so start wrapping the 0.4 mm (26 gauge) wire around it until you have something like the body of a bumble-bee. String on the sew-on rhinestones one by one.
Continue wrapping around both the eye pin and the rhinestones in order to fix them into place. The pattern is all up to you. Note that too much wire will make the earrings heavier.
Prepare the additional dangles - I chose a cultivated river pearl and an Austrian crystal.
Attach the dangles and ear-wires. You're ready for the party :)
