This is a great beginner or quick project. I sent both of these out as gifts. They are pretty versatile as they can be worn doubled or tripled on the neckline depending on the desired look. This is made in the round, knitting.
Choose two yarn colors. One that would look like the color of the other if it were dip dyed in bleach.
On a pair of circular needles, depending on the gauge you want, knit in the round for as wide and as long as you would like the scarf. Then, enjoy!
