Perfect project to do with kids, as it is inexpensive, in-toxic and salt dough is very easy to work with. Kids love making their own toys with salt dough, which is almost indestructible once baked.

Make the salt dough by mixing and kneading the ingredients. The recipe is in cups. You can just use an ordinary tea or coffee mug, it’s all about the ratio here.
If you don't have any wall paper paste handy, mix:
2 cups of flour, 1 cup of salt, 1 cup of water -

Roll out and cut your shapes with cookie cutters or shape figures of your choice.

Leave to dry overnight (this is important as it prevents the shapes from cracking during the baking process).
The next day, bake your pieces of art in the over at 150°C for 1 hour per 0.5mm thickness (I only needed to leave my shapes in the oven for just under an hour).

Leave to cool and paint!
