I made these cute little flower pins, but they can also be made into a necklace or hair decoration very easily... See how I did this below and let me know if you have any questions !
I made these cute little flower pins, but they can also be made into a necklace or hair decoration very easily... See how I did this below and let me know if you have any questions !
Here is what you'll need for this project, plus you can always add more to make it your own. Glitter glue in many colors, 1 small plastic skull, a glue gun, 1 flower in a very brigt color, some halloween sequins, a pin back (I took this one off a pin I repurposed) and some floral snips or scissors.
Start by cutting the flower back off so that the flower will be as flat as possible. I used floral snips, but scissors will do just fine.
Next use your glue gun to tack the petal layers together. The flower will need to be flat so that it will stick to the pin back well.
You can't see it here, but I slathered the pinback with hot glue and pressed down the flower until it was set.
In this step, hot glue the skull to the center top of your flower. Here I used some of the petals and hot glued them to the back of the skull so it would be more secure. Nothing like a little extra hot glue to make any project work !
Embellish your skull with glitter glue to make it look like a sugar skull and viola you have a great pin to show off for dia de los muertos !
