A sweet & tasty bar that is easy to make.

You will need

Date filling
10 oz Dates 1/4 cup Brown Sugar 1 cup Water
Crust
1 3/4 cup Oats 1 1/2 cup Plain Flour 1 cup Brown Sugar 1 tsp Bicarbonate Of Soda 3/4 cup Butter Melted

A sweet & tasty bar that is easy to make.

Instructions

1. 

   Heat oven 175 degrees. Place all filling ingredients into pan bring to a boil & simmer until thick & syrupy. Set aside.

2. 

   Combine all the dry crust ingredients together. Pour in the butter & stir to coat.

3. 

   Press half the Oat mixture into a tray.

4. 

   Pour over the filling. Spread out evenly.

5. 

   Top with remaining Oat mixture. Lightly press but leave it crumbly.

6. 

   Bake for 25-35 mins until golden brown.

7. 

   Cut into squares & serve.
