i had of all the saving for the kitschy jewelry craft still a lot of med tubes left overs. And allthought i had used some for small other project i still had some laying. waiting for a new project. i'm in love with mobiles, think it's my ages they where everywhere to watch during my childhood and i have made them as well when i was a kiddo and later a youngster and so on. so.... i thought of this kind of mobile. My sis loved it, and i have promised her this one.;-D Notes of course you can make the holes with burning them with a knitting needle and a candle. But because i have too much breathing problems of my asthma i prefer to make them on this way. and... no black burns in the plastic left behind. You can use insteade of paper on the tubes paint or let them blank, or gave them a layer of glitter, lace....ect. You can use insteade of those tubes other small things for transforming them in small vases. You can use insteade of the iron wire invisable yarn. You can use other things for the branches as well. Just be creative and have fun and be crafty. the time is without drying time. thank you for stopping by.

search for a lot of tubes like these or other small containers of meds. You need for a mobile like mine 9 tubes.
Make holes on both sides in the top of the tube , you will connecting later the grip by them.;-D
Sand the holes smoodly with the iron files.
Measing the tubes, and add some more , so the length will be longer then the tubes . to make the undersides neatly. cut of the length of the strip you need for covering the outside of the tubes of the wrapping paper.
Cut off smaller pieces of this stip . You will become something like mine. I needed 9.5cm x 7,5 cm. or....3,3/4" x 3"
Glue the paper pieces allround the tubes with mode podge. And let it dry.
On the bottomside , the paper will be to long, don't cut it off!!!!
Make in those parts small cuts, watch the picture.;-D
Fold the small cuts down and glued them all around the bottem. let it dry.
Cut out small circles of paper to add and glue them down on the blank bottem. Give all the tubes an extra layer of mode pogde to seal them and let it dry
with a embroidery needle you must prick the holes on the top.
Making the handles: cut of pieces of iron wire of 25cm or 10"
Fold the wire piece in two.
Put the first leg inside the vase pulll them through the hole to the outside. Wacht the picture.;-D then do the other leg on the same way.
twist those lose ends on the handle and you're done.;-D Do this with the other vases as well;-D
search for a stick or branch of 91cm or 36 inch.
paint the branch.
Saw the branch in four pieces one must be the biggest for the top branch.!!! let it dry. or just let it blank or glue it with paper or glitter everything you like and love.;-D
for the pieces in between the branches you must cut off piece of wire of 60 cm or 24". For the wire of the vases to hang on you need to cut off piece of 15cm or 6".
Pick up a piece of wire of 60cm or 24 inches. on the top end make a loop to hang the mobile on. the other side something on the 3/4 of it you must wrap on the first branch (watch the picture on step 19) Pay attention: the loops mustn't be too tightly because by making the mobile in balance you must could move them .
wrap on the out sides of the branch two other pieces of 60 cm or 24".
Making the hooks: i choosen for making hooks for to hang the handles of the vases on because you must give them everyday some water when you have put the flowers in them. Pick up your paper clips and unfold like the picture the outside leg a tiny bit. this will be the beginning of your hook
hang it on the wire were the vases will be hanged on. and crimp the top a little bit with a flat noce plier
So you will have on the first branch something like this.
Hang on the long wire of the outsides of this branch the other small branches. Pay attention : the vase in between mustn't touch the seccond smaller branches.
repeat this on the left with the last branch. watch the picture, so you will become something like that.
now you must hang the vases on the hooks and ... hang it on the ceiling. Now you must move the wires to make the mobile in balance. And you can make the wire threads more smootly by hanging.
put in the vases some water and flowers and hang it on a nice place in your room or... give it away like i did. Hope you liked this project , be crafty and be creative and just have fun;-D thank you very much for stopping bye;-D
