- Hounds-Tooth Print Fabric (or whichever you prefer).

Heat your iron, and place your transfer on your desired area. Make sure to leave edges to tuck into the hoop.
Iron your transfer as directed. Once cool, remove backing, and cut around your letter, leaving plenty of edging (this can be trimmed later if needed).
Gently loosen your hoop, and fix your design into the hoop using the wooden backing. Tighten the hoop.

Warm up your Hot Glue gun.
First, glue and secure the edges of your fabric to the internal wooden backing. Next, glue around the back edge of the hoop, and attach the external wooden backing. Trim off any excess glue once cooled.
Begin adding spikes by adding one dab of hot glue at a time per spike, ensuring that each is secure before the glue can cool.
