You Will Need (3 things)

  • 4 yd Fabric
  • 12 in Wire Wreath frame
  • Scissors

Steps (7 steps, 180 minutes)

  1. 1

Gather supplies needed. You can choose any number of fabric styles in your favorite colors and patterns. We used four different patterns in a similar color shade for our example.

  2. 2

Using scissors or pinking shears, cut the fabric into strips 9 inches long and about 1 inch wide. There is no need to be precise. For our wreath, our strips ranged from 1 to 2 inches wide.

  3. 3

Arrange the prepared fabric strips in piles by color or pattern to make assembling your wreath easy.

  4. 4

Place the wire wreath frame on a surface with the "curved side" facing you. This will give your wreath a fuller appearance.

Take a strip of fabric and double knot it around the center two wires of the frame. Repeat this step on the left two wires, then again on the right two wires.

  5. 5

Continue this process working from middle - left - right. Every 6 knots, slide the bows down on the frame.

  6. 6

Keep knotting and sliding until each wreath frame section is full.

The more strips you use, the fuller your wreath will be.

  7. 7

Finish your wreath by trimming off any long fabric. Shake the wreath to fluff it up.

Cut a piece of fabric to desired length. Loop it through the back of wire frame. Knot it and your wreath is ready to hang.
