Draw a set of concentric circles on a thick sheet of paper.
Cut it out. You should have a spiral like this.
Draw hearts of different sizes on a spare piece of paper.
Cut them out and colour them. I used water colours.
Next I drew a butterfly on another piece of paper cut it out and coloured it (with glitter pens)
Now for the backbone of the card I cut out a rectangular sheet of paper and folded it in half. Tip: see to it that your spiral circle fits into the card. We don't want part of it sticking out :)
Stick the two ends of the spiral on the two sides of the card. When you are done, you should be able to close the card easily with the spiral closing within itself and not getting creased. For this you should first keep the spiral cutout on any one side of the card and glue any one end of it to that side. now close the card and see where the other end rests on the opposite side of the card; glue it right there. Glue the cut out hearts along the spiral. I glued three spare hearts on the card too.
Now glue the butterfly cutout near the inner corner of the spiral
Your card is ready. You can write a valentine message on the card. You can also decorate the outside according to your taste and choice :)
