you will need: Buttons (small would be best but medium can work.) Wire (20 gauge works best but once again anything else will work as long as it will stay looped to keep the finding in.) DIfferent pliers round nose and cutters. However, you can use sharp scissors or just bend the wire yourself. glass beads findings and headpins if you don't want to bother with the wire.
lay out your buttons and beads. I'm making these for a highschooler who loves blue so I'm using blue buttons light to dark and different beads. Usually clear, white or black works.
cut two pieces of wire. I usually make them about 5 inches long but it depends on the size you want.
then take your round nose, flat nose or a toothpick and your hands and curl the wire on one side. Make it pretty but make sure the curl is tight enough to hold the buttons and beads on.
then start stringing your buttons and beads on. you can just string the buttons on through one hole. It doesn't look bad. Save room. about an inch of un beaded wire.
Cut the wire about half an inch unbeaded.
take your finding and put the wire through the loop. then curl the wire taking note to keep the finding at the top of the curl and curl it tightly.
When you're done this is what you should get. Then make your other one. Enjoy these only took me 10 minutes to make and 5 when I got the hang of it. They're super easy and make great gifts. Enjoy Mortals!
