Measure your circles. My boyfriend got a ruler, a thumb tack, a marker, and a piece of yarn and measured the radius (8 inches) of what would be our 16 inch base. (in the pic he was doing the 10") After measuring the radius tie one end of your string to the thumb tack and the other to your marker. Now stick your tack in the foam and draw your circles. We made four. (16", 14", 12", and a 10".)
Cut your circles out!
I glued two paper cups together to ensure sturdiness. (I would use three doubled paper cups.) Then I used the pin mark from the thumb tack as a center reference point. And traced around the rim of the cup with my marker. The circle made from the marker is going to be where I place my glue. Now glue the rim of the cup to your circle and repeat the process until all cups are glued.
Next spray paint the cup cake stand, let dry and embellish.
Once it comes time to use it be sure to LAY DOWN NAPKINS!!
