Those big eyes! Evocative of the real deal, you can practically imagine this cat pillow slithering away when you try to snuggle up to it. Repurpose squashy socks for the ears, legs and tail, and use the outline stitch to embroider the realistic face.

Finished size = 181/8 x 15¾ in (46 x 40 cm)

Apply a steam iron to the completed embroidery for an extra crisp finish

You Will Need (4 things)

  • Front side + Back side fabrics (Lightweight Denim )…14¾ x 17¾ in (35 x 45 cm) each
  • #25 Embroidery Thread Black Cat (white, yellow, olive green); Mackerel Tabby (pink, brown, yellow)…as needed
  • Men´s Socks feet size should be at least 77/8 in (20 cm) in length]…1 pair
  • Cotton Batting …as needed

Steps (7 steps, 240 minutes)

    How to make

    Cut front and back fabrics. Trace the template onto the front side and embroider.

    Sew front and back sides together with right sides facing, leaving an opening.

  3. 3

    Turn right side out, fill with cotton batting and stitch opening closed.

    Cut sock as shown.
