About

My first ever crochet project! I'm so glad it's actually a useable thing and not just a lumpy square!
These fingerless gloves are super easy to make, cute and I totally recommend them for the beginning crocheter (trust me, they worked!)
Note: I used... I don't know, average thread, I guess, and a 5mm hook. Worked great.
By the way, if you're a pro crocheter... It will probably take you less than 4 hours!

You Will Need (2 things)

  • 1 5mm Crochet Hook (or any size near that)
  • 1 skein Yarn average size, I guess

Steps (4 steps, 240 minutes)

  1. 1

Make a chain as long as you want your gloves to be. See? I want them from my first knuckles to a couple inches above my elbow, so that's how long I make the chain.

  2. 2

Crochet rows of single knots from the back of the stitch until you're happy with the width and it will fit around your arm. Leave a very long tail (15 inches is best - just to be safe)

  3. 3

Use a yarn needle to stitch the edges together from the front stitch. This will minimize how obvious the join is. Stop stitching at where you'd like your thumb to go, stitch along one side of the hole until it's big enough to fit your thumb, and stitch the remaining edges until you're done.

  4. 4

    Repeat and enjoy!
