This strawberry is worked in the round from bottom to top, without joining rounds. Using red yarn, start with a magic ring, or ch 2 and work in the first ch: 1. 8 sc in a circle. 2. (2 sc in next st, sc in next st) 4 times. (12 sc) 3. (sc in next 3 sts, 2 sc in next st) 3 times. (15 sc) 4. (sc in next 4 sts, 2 sc in next st) 3 times. (18 sc) 5. (sc in next 5 sts, 2 sc in next st) 3 times. (21 sc) 6. (sc in next 6 sts, 2 sc in next st) 3 times. (24 sc) 7-8. sc in each st around, for 2 rounds. (24 sc per round) 9. Leaves: Using green yarn, start with a magic circle, or ch2 and work in the first chain. (1 sc in the circle, ch 3, sl st in 2nd chain from hook, sl st in next ch) 5 times. You should now have 5 little leaves in a circle. Join with a sl st to the very first sc, and finish off.
Sew the leaves onto the top of the strawberry. If you want, embroider some small seed beads onto your strawberry.
