Cool huh? I made these to decorate my son's room. Without the fabric stiffener they can be used as pot holders (as long as you use natural fiber yarns). If you do not have fabric stiffener, I'm sure you can glue them to a piece of cardstock/cardboard so they last and can be hung flat against the wall.
You would need to know how to do a single stitch, slip stitch, and crochet in a round/spiral. Abbreviations: sl st=slip stitch, sc=single crochet, lst st=last stitch, ch=chain
Let me know if any errors please! ;)

You Will Need (5 things)
- Scissors
- Fabric Stiffener
- Size G Crochet Hook
- Yarn in green, white and red
- Yarn Needle to weave the ends in.
Steps (6 steps, 45 minutes)

If you followed the link and made this (or already know how to...), yay!!! :D So we start off w/ our circle. Mine is about 4 1/2-5 inches in diameter.

This one is Luigi's, I forgot to take pics of Mario's. LOL
Find the center of the circle and sl st the letter L onto the circle. If you want it easier, cut out a felt letter and glue it on... lol -

Tadaa!!! L is for Luigi (that's good enough for me... lol)!! After making the letter you can weave the ends in now or later. ;)

I made a green border (or you can leave it white). Join the green yarn to the circle, at the lst st w/ a sl st. Sc around the circle.

Finish off w/ a sl st to the top of the first sc of the border. Then ch 5-6 depending on how large you want the 'hook' to hang them. Skip 5-6 stitches and join w/ a sl st on next st. Finish off.

Twa-laaa!!! Weave ends in, spray fabric stiffener (follow instructions on bottle) and let them dry. :D I will post a pic of them in my son's room when I can. :)
