About
This exercise is inspired by the wonderful illustrator and teacher Norman Laliberté. Lay down some black ink and add lines and a little color to finish. Easy!

First, using black acrylic ink, India ink, or paint, lay down an irregular "blob" shape, keeping "body" in mind as you do it. Don't necessarily draw a body! Then, use your pen to fill in the details (head and feet in this case).

Put two figures on one piece of paper, and add blobs for hair or hat!
-
3
Even put your figures on a blob ground.
-
4
Play with space between the characters to tell a story.
-
5
Instead of making the blob shape the body, make it define the area behind your figure!

Optionally, use your pinkie finger to add red pastel cheeks. Here is a video tutorial, too!
