Making a treasured set!

A friend gave me a beautiful tea set from italy when she moved. I loved everything about it! but I wanted to display it proudly. One day at a garage sale I saw the tea pot....it was like $2.00 and I was sold. I love Jamaica and the sea...so I decided it would be the theem. I had a beautiful frame a friend had found and gave me befor she passed away from breast cancer. So it means a lot to me as well. I used my reverse painting technique on it so that nothing would ruin my painting. i used the colors from the tea set and the tes pot for the painting. Lastly I used an old jewlery box i had found and saved for a project. I painted the jamaican sea and trees...on the inside I put hot tea cuz those were two of my sons first strung words. I drank a lot of tea! when I put it all together I made something that I am proud to display and enjoy using at special times... I had tea with grandma before she passed away and she loved it!
