You Will Need (11 things)

  • 165 g Prawns For the prawns: Chopped garlic, salt, chilli powder, chilli flakes, black pepper, mixed herbs, green chilli, olive oil, parsley
  • Flour
  • Butter
  • Milk
  • Pasta
  • Pasta Water
  • (Optional) Chestnut Mushrooms
  • Spices Salt, black pepper, chilli flakes
  • 284 ml Single Cream
  • Garlic
  • 1 Shallot

Steps (3 steps, 25 minutes)

    The first step involves marinating the prawn. In a bowls add in all the prawns followed by all the ingredients under the prawns section. Meanwhile you can start boiling your pasta. Save some pasta water while the water is boiling. Cook off your prawns in a hot pan with olive oil. Cook them for around 3 minutes each side.

    Next, start making a bechamel sauce. Start by adding the butter in a saucepan and melting it, follow it with the chopped shallot, garlic and around 7 mushrooms cut in small pieces. Cook until the shallots are soft. You can now add the flour and mix on a low flame with a whisk. Once done, gradually add in the milk and let it simmer on a low flame until it thickens up and looks like a sauce.

    For the next step, add the single cream and mix everything, then add half a cup of pasta water and the spices. Finish off by adding the boiled pasta in the sauce and mixing everything until thoroughly combined and you are ready to serve.
