Notes: The peeling and chopping of the crayons is what takes the long time...

Also consider the colors: multicolor looks sweet but similar shades are cool and blend together...

You Will Need (6 things)

  • Heart Muffin Baking Tin
  • Crayons (LOTS)
  • Knife
  • Cooking Spray
  • Oven
  • Elastic /Ribbon

Steps (5 steps, 60 minutes)

  1. 1

Take crayons and peel off all the paper.

  2. 2

Now break up crayons into little bits.

Depending on how large you want the chunks to be you can do this differently:
For large chunks: just break with fingers
For smaller chunks: use knife to make grooves in crayon at desired length, then snap with fingers.

Spray tin and put in pieces.

  3. 3

Bake at 275°F for about 8 minutes.

You will want to check how quickly they melt: if you have large tins (like me) they will go for about 11 minutes, and smaller for less.

When you take them out you can swirl with a utensil if that's the look you want.

  4. 4

    Cool for a while! : D

  5. 5

Tie around the hearts with elastic and slide in a valentines message, FINISHED!
