ok for ppl who don't know how to make the crayon necklace here r some simple steps:
U will need a lighter (or a flame of some sort), string, needle, glove (on writing hand only), and desired crayons.
1. Take string and put it through needle
2. Put the one glove on you writing hand
3. With the gloved hand, put the needle through the flame and into the desired spot on the crayon. (strong spot is on the bottom where the black squiggly lines are)
4. Let it sink through the crayon and when it stops repeat step 3 until you have a complete hole through the crayon.
5. Cool down the needle and (if desired) scrape off the wax off the sides of the hole of the crayon. (scissors or a sharp object would work best)
6. String the needle through the crayons in whatever order and tie around your neck.
7. Ta-duh! You now have an awesome crayon necklace.

i was just going to put upp one i made but you beat me to it! although i mad mine with pencils and memory wire! crayons? that is genius! i saw it in a book!
Thanks guys
And yeah, I randomly got this idea one day. Haha. I thought about how you can poke holes through guitar picks with a heated needle, why not crayons?
I love the crayons and I'd love to make one for myself, I just think it would probably look even better if it had a real metal string instead of just a white one.
Looks really cute ^_^
DUDE! I saw this the other day [I think probably on your myspae] and I made my own, just a little different, and everyone loves it lol.
Awesome idea! Did you come up with it yourself or did you get the idea from something else?
With mine I went all crazy and OCD and made the labels all face the same way Lol
